=== Physical Traits ===
=== Physical Traits ===
Traps start as a pink tone on mature specimens to a vibrant red , then the peristome ages a yellow tone onto non striped sections, as these traps age fully it gains a yellow tone on body with a orange/dark yellow/gold
this grex is (murud x lowland) x 'Candy Dreams' , noted they tend to grow faster probably due to the lowland genetics

at a younger age/smaller basil/cutting the body can start green/yellow and produce a few strips, only when mature or near maturity does it truly shine

an interesting feature known on 'Candy Dreams' or CD is the dark  speckles on its leaves , many offspring display this trait in a variety of intensity. It is a similar red speckled variegation noted on lowlands such as 'Black Miracle'. On the veitchii Bario form, this is not an uncommon trait ,and can appear on any such cross with those genetics.

To the best of our understanding of its origion, the seeds were collected and originated from "Amos Yu" or "Wen Chih Yu" , who has released many similar offspring as well down the years.

Supposedly it went by a few different names in Asia circles, among some that are known are 'Xu Head' as well as 'Lions Head' in some of those grower circles.

The name ‘Xu Head' or (徐脑袋) , originated from the surname of the person who first purchased 'Candy Dreams' originally in mainland China.

It is believed to be 1st introduced into the USA under Redleaf Exotics , and given the Cultivator name 'Candy Dreams', a name it is now well Identified with across the world, even in Asia were it originated have converted to this ID name.

It has become one of, if not the most used male veitchii in cultivation around the world, producing many fantastic offspring , some are close if not equal to their famous father in many respects.
